Sana'a: The winning teams of the Mawlid Al-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) Football Tournaments across the districts of Ibb Province were crowned on Wednesday, in the presence of a large audience.
According to Yemen News Agency, the sports tournaments, which lasted for a month, were held as part of youth events and sporting activities under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the supervision of the Governorate's Youth and Sports Office.
Ghazza team won the championship of Al-Dhihar District, Al-Quds team triumphed in Al-Mashannah District, Al-Nujoom team claimed victory in Al-Sha'ar District, and Al-Sanwar team won Al-Dha al-Sufal District.
Saban Club won Al-Radmah District, Al-Rasool Al-Azam team took Al-Addeen District, Fajr Al-Siyani team won Al-Siyani District, and Al-Suqoor team claimed Al-Reef Ibb District.
Dhu Al-Fiqar team won in Habish District, Shabab Eto team in Yarim District, while Ghazza team also won Jiblah District, Hamas team triumphed in Al-Makhadir District, 22 May team in Al-Saddah District, and Al-Quds team in Ba'dan District. The district champions will compete for the Mawlid Al-Nabi Cup at the governorate level.
Ibrahim Al-Masawi, Director of the Youth and Sports Office in Ibb, affirmed that the sports tournaments and youth activities held on the occasion of the Mawlid Al-Nabi embody loyalty and devotion to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
He noted that these tournaments and youth activities provide an opportunity to foster a spirit of competition and creativity among young people in a joyful celebratory atmosphere.
