Al hudaydah: The Women's Authority in Al Hudaydah province organized a cultural competition for girls' summer scout centers, coinciding with the conclusion of summer programs and activities for the year 1447H under the slogan "Knowledge and Jihad."
According to Yemen News Agency, the competition served as a culmination of summer activities and programs aimed at building a generation armed with awareness and insight, fortified with Quranic culture and an authentic faith identity. Students from eight districts in the province, including Al Hawak, Al Mina, and Al Hali districts of Al Hudaydah city, as well as Al Maghlaf, Bajil, Az Zaydiyah, Ad Duraihimi, and Ad Dahi districts, participated in the competition.
The competition focused on assessing the success level of the summer centers and the students' mastery of the Yemeni base for reading and writing. It also tested their skills in reciting the Holy Quran with proper intonation, precision in Quranic tajweed, and recitation, along with presenting cultural questions covering religious and awareness knowledge.
The speeches at the event highlighted the importance of summer courses in building a generation equipped with knowledge, learning, and faith identity, and developing girls' abilities in educational and cultural fields. This contributes to preparing conscious cadres capable of serving society.
Participants and attendees praised the organization and preparation of the competition, noting the positive outcomes of the summer centers in Quranic and cultural achievement. The event consolidated values of diligence, discipline, and knowledge competition among the students.
At the conclusion of the competition, winners and outstanding students were honored with certificates and prizes. The event was attended by representatives from the education sector, the branch of the Yemeni Red Crescent, the director of the Sharia Sciences schools, and several female educators interested in women's educational affairs.
