Cultural Evenings Illuminate Ma’een District in Celebration of Prophet Muhammad’s Birth

Sana'a: Ma'een District in the Capital Secretariat hosted on Wednesday a series of cultural and celebratory evenings to mark the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family.

According to Yemen News Agency, the events were organized by officers and personnel of the Western Sector of the Military Police, along with local neighborhood leaders and residents of Al-Khamsin, Al-Muntazahat, Souq Madhbah, and Al-Baraka neighborhoods in southern Madhbah; Al-Wafaa and Northern Al-Khanq in western Shamlan; Ma'een Al-Sheikh in Asr; Al-Sumoud and eastern Al-Sinaina; and Al-Ghafqi in Al-Qubba. The gatherings reflected broad community participation and the diversity of activities held across the district to commemorate the occasion.

The celebrations featured speeches and cultural programs highlighting the noble biography of the Prophet and the significance of his birth in the hearts of Yemenis, while expressing joy over the religious occasion. Speakers emphasized that commemorating the Prophet's birthday has become an occasion observed across neighborhoods and communities to recall the Prophet's life, values, and principles.

The evenings are part of preparatory activities for commemorating the Prophet's birthday, leading up to broad participation in the major central celebration scheduled for the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal. A large number of officials and community members attended the events, including Capital Secretariat Undersecretary for Financial Affairs Mazen Noman, Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative Units Sami Sharaf al-Din, Ma'een District Director Abdulmalek Al-Radhi, Capital Secretariat Finance Office Director Dr. Mohammed Al-Junaid, Islamic Jihad Movement member in Yemen Dr. Majdi Azzam, neighborhood mobilization officials, cultural activists, sheikhs, and social figures.
