Raymah: Cultural events and seminars were organized on Tuesday in the districts of al-Jabin district, Bilad al-Ta'am district, and Kusmah district in Raymah governorate to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein ibn Ali under the slogan 'Far From Us Is Humiliation.'
According to Yemen News Agency, a speech event was organized by the Governorate Health and Environment Office and al-Thulaya General Hospital, featuring remarks by Hassan al-Omari and Dr. Walid al-Harasi. They highlighted the importance of commemorating Ashura and the lessons it offers regarding the distinction between truth and falsehood, supporting the oppressed, and confronting tyranny.
At a cultural event organized by local authorities and the General Mobilization in Bilad Al Ta'am District, attended by Mohammed al-Nahari, Yaish al-Dhubaybi, and Yahya al-Hammami, speakers discussed the events of the Battle of Karbala and drew parallels between those events and contemporary struggles. The speeches also referenced the death of Hussein al-Houthi, describing the loss of prominent leaders as one of the nation's greatest tragedies.
A seminar in al-Jabin District focused on strengthening awareness and insight and on following the values and principles embodied by Imam Hussein in confronting injustice, deviation, and oppression. The discussions, attended by Hassan al-Omari, Majed Amin, and Ridwan al-Hadidi, explored the religious and historical significance of the commemoration and the importance of drawing inspiration from Imam Hussein's example of sacrifice, steadfastness, and principled leadership.
Meanwhile, speakers at a cultural seminar in Kusmah district called for responding to the leadership's appeals to increase preparedness and mobilization efforts. They argued that such measures would support efforts to secure rights, end the conflict and blockade, and strengthen resilience in the face of ongoing challenges. Participants also described Yemeni support for al-Aqsa Mosque and solidarity with Palestinian resistance movements as an extension of Imam Hussein's stand against oppression and as an example of following his commitment to defending Islam and confronting injustice.
