Cultural Seminar in Sa’ada Commemorates Prophet’s Hijrah

Sa'ada: The General Authority for Endowments and Guidance office, in cooperation with the Scholars' Unit in Sa'ada province, recently organized a cultural seminar to commemorate the blessed Hijrah (migration) of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family.

According to Yemen News Agency, the seminar saw the participation of Deputy Governor Mohammed Biyan, the Director General of the Endowments and Guidance Office in the province, Lotf Al-Awaoui, alongside several scholars and members of the executive office. Scholar Abdullah Majli delivered a review of significant milestones in the life of Prophet Muhammad, highlighting the challenges and persecution faced during the early years of the Islamic call.

Majli's address also covered the attempts by Quraysh leaders to deter the Prophet through offers after failing to stop him with force and torture. The seminar underscored the crucial role played by the people of Yemen in supporting Islam, noting that the first martyr in Islam was from Yemen, from the family of Al-Yasir.

The event emphasized the significance of commemorating the Hijrah to reinforce connections with the Seal of the Prophets and to emulate his character in persevering through hardships to achieve victory.
