Hodeida: The leadership of the local authority in Hodeida province and the Agricultural Cooperative Union have successfully delivered integrated furniture to 12 multi-purpose agricultural cooperative societies located in the northern and eastern districts. This initiative was funded by the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit within the province, and it was overseen by the Bunyan Foundation.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the handover event, Hodeida Governor Abdullah Atifi emphasized the commitment of the provincial leadership to encourage agricultural cooperative societies. The aim is to expand their activities to support development programs and align with the government’s efforts, following the directives of the revolutionary and political leadership to enhance the agricultural sector.
The province’s first deputy governor, Ahmed al-Bishri, highlighted that agricultural production is the outcome of the cooperative societies’ efforts. He stressed the importance of paying attention to these societies and strengthening support for them in coordination with the Agricultural Cooperative Union.
Ali Al-Ghuli, the Acting Executive Director of the Bunyan Development Foundation, noted that the provision of furniture is part of the ongoing efforts to improve the performance of agricultural associations in Al-Hodeida.
Yahya Al-Wadaei, the director of the financing unit in the province, reiterated the unit’s commitment to supporting agricultural cooperative societies. This support includes providing furniture and equipment, as well as other forms of assistance aimed at benefiting the agricultural sector.
