Sana'a: Deputy Foreign Minister Abdulwahid Abu Ras sent on Thursday an open letter to the foreign ministers of Arab states in the region regarding UN Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026) concerning Iran. In the letter, Abu Ras stressed that the Arab ministers should have clarified the reasons for the current problem, which is the American and Israeli aggression against a neighboring Muslim country. According to Yemen News Agency, Abu Ras emphasized that condemnation should be directed not only at the aggression itself but also at the American bases located in their countries, from which the aggression against Iran was launched. He pointed out that the ongoing war has revealed many truths, including that the American bases were established in their countries to commit crimes against the people of the Arab nation and to protect the Israeli enemy entity, not to protect them. He added that it has revealed something even worse: that they are obligated to protect these criminal bases, and that the trillions the y have spent in the past and continue to spend are for this purpose. He said, "Those countries, by relying-instead of Allah-on His enemies and the enemies of the nation, have demonstrated to us and to them the truth of Allah's words: 'The parable of those who take protectors other than Allah is that of the spider, who builds itself a house. And indeed, the weakest of houses is the spider's house, if only they knew.'" The Deputy Foreign Minister added, "Your outcry today in what is called the Security Council proves that America has betrayed you, embroiled you, and pushed you into its criminal and diabolical battle, making you bait to ensnare its adversaries. But it has failed, and you have lost." He continued, "We sincerely and earnestly call upon you to reconsider your positions, assess your situation, and seek the true solution and the real way out of your predicament, which lies in returning to the Book of Allah." Your Lord is the Holy Quran, and you should pay attention to the issues of your nation. H e said, "We affirm to you and to the entire world that the Islamic Republic of Iran has every legitimate right to target hostile and criminal American and Israeli bases and interests. We stand in solidarity with it and declare our support for it. We consider this a religious stance that pleases our Lord, who, with His help and grace, will grant us victory and success, and defeat, disgrace, and punishment to His enemies and the enemies of the nation. The decision on Earth rests with the King of the Heavens and the Earth, not with what is called the Security Council or the international community." Abu Ras concluded the message by praying for mercy and forgiveness for the martyrs of the nation in Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, and throughout the lands of the Islamic nation.
