Deputy Foreign Minister Discusses Yemen’s Humanitarian Crisis with UN Coordinator

Jakarta:Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Abdul-Wahid Abu Ras engaged in a video conference with Acting UN Resident Coordinator Laurent Bukera to address pressing issues concerning the United Nations' activities in Yemen.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting focused on the current humanitarian situation in Yemen and the impact of recent escalations by the Saudi regime. Abu Ras highlighted the detrimental effects of these escalations on the country's humanitarian conditions.

He called for increased efforts to tackle the growing humanitarian needs and stressed the importance of the United Nations improving its operations in Yemen to rebuild trust in the organization.

Laurent Bukera reiterated the UN's dedication to supporting Yemen and enhancing the humanitarian response to better serve the Yemeni people.
