Sana'a: Deputy Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Judge Ibrahim al-Shami, inaugurated on Monday a new annex building for the Judicial Police. The project is part of a broader plan to modernize the judiciary's infrastructure, funded by the Judiciary Support Fund.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the opening, Judge Al-Shami emphasized that providing modern facilities for the Judicial Police is a qualitative step toward achieving "Swift Justice." He described the Judicial Police as a vital executive arm that supports the judiciary by enforcing court orders, securing courtrooms and judicial proceedings, and coordinating between courts, prosecutions, and security agencies.
Following the inauguration, Judge al-Shami chaired a meeting with security leaders, including Brigadier General Ahmed al-Bannous, Director of Facility Guard, to discuss performance improvements. The Minister briefed attendees on the Supreme Judicial Council's decision to establish new courts. He confirmed that these new courts are being designed with dedicated spaces for Judicial Police to ensure professional security within the facilities. The Ministry remains committed to technical and administrative upgrades to keep pace with the current national requirements.
