Sana’a: Deputy Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment Ahmed al-Shawtri officially opened the Zina al-Hayat Carnival Exhibition in Sana’a province, focusing on light food products and sweets. The exhibition showcases offerings from local small-scale producers, particularly productive families.
According to Yemen News Agency, al-Shawtri, accompanied by Ali al-Hadi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the capital Sana’a, toured the exhibition pavilions. He was briefed by organizers on the products on display, which highlight local food items and sweets. The event provides a platform for small producers to present their goods to a broader market.
During his visit, al-Shawtri praised the high-quality products featured at the event, particularly noting the presence of local sweets from small factories and home-based businesses. He emphasized the importance of supporting small producers by connecting them with marketing channels that can help promote and grow the se

The Deputy Minister also highlighted the progress made by small producers, who are now offering products that meet high standards of quality and aesthetics. He reiterated the Ministry’s commitment, along with the Yemeni Authority for Standardization, Metrology, and Quality Control, to assist these producers in marketing their products, ensuring quality control, and protecting their trademarks to foster further growth in the local market.
