Deputy Minister of Education Inaugurates Community Medical Initiative at University of Al-Hadhara

Al-Hadhara: The Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hatem Al-Doais, inaugurated a free community medical initiative organized by the University of Al-Hadhara in cooperation with the National Center for Public Health Laboratories, lasting for a week.

According to Yemen News Agency, the initiative includes providing free medical examinations and services in several specialties, covering areas such as clinical and laboratory examinations, ECG, oral and dental health, optometry, ear, nose, and throat, along with physiotherapy.

The Deputy Minister, accompanied by officials, received an explanation about the initiative aiming to address citizens’ health needs. He acknowledged the efforts of the university and the National Center for Blood Laboratories in offering these free services during current challenges, emphasizing the importance of advancing medical education and enhancing community services.

The delegation also examined the equipment of the medical laboratories and the university hospital building, constructed by approved standards to deliver advanced health and educational services. The attendees highlighted the necessity of continuing such initiatives to support underserved groups and strengthen collaborations between academic and health institutions.
