Sana'a: Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hatem Al-Da'is, inaugurated today in Sana'a the Second Engineering Creativity and Innovation Exhibition at the College of Engineering, University of Science and Technology.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Deputy Minister was accompanied by Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Authority for Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Houri; Executive Director of the Information Technology Center, Dr. Fouad Abdul Razzaq; and University President, Dr. Al-Qasim Abbas. The delegation toured the exhibition, which spans two days, and explored models of creative and innovative works and designs created by students from various engineering departments and specializations.
Dean of the College, Dr. Adnan Al-Mutawakkil, highlighted that the exhibition is part of the college's continuous efforts to encourage creativity and innovation among students. The event provides a platform for students to showcase their projects to pertinent authorities for potential adoption and support.
The attendees commended the students' creativity and innovations, noting these achievements as a response to the challenges faced by educational institutions. They emphasized the significance of these projects in addressing economic challenges.
The University President reiterated the institution's dedication to nurturing and advancing creative projects and converting them into practical initiatives that benefit the community. He announced the university's commitment to supporting three projects for implementation and offering employment to three exceptional graduates responsible for innovative projects, thereby integrating their creativity into the university's educational framework.
