Al-khokha: Deputy Minister of Information Dr. Omar Al-Bukhaiti and Deputy Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water Adel Bader inspected on Sunday the conditions of citizens in Al-Khokha district of Hodeida governorate, following the recent expulsion of Saudi-aligned forces from the area. The visit aimed to assess the situation and understand the pressing needs of the residents, particularly concerning essential services such as water and electricity.
According to Yemen News Agency, the inspection visit was part of a broader effort to normalize conditions in the district. Al-Bukhaiti and Bader engaged with residents to gain insights into their needs regarding service and development projects. These discussions were crucial for identifying the requirements necessary to stabilize security and improve living conditions for citizens in the liberated areas.
During the visit, Dr. Al-Bukhaiti emphasized that the field visit to the liberated areas of the West Coast reflects the directives of the revolutionary and political leadership being put into practice. He underscored the commitment of government leaders to their responsibilities toward the citizens and stressed the importance of an active government presence on the ground during this pivotal phase.
Dr. Al-Bukhaiti further explained that the government's immediate response to leadership directives involved visiting these areas, directly assessing citizens' conditions and needs, evaluating service levels, and identifying priorities and solutions to normalize public life. He described the field activity as a practical approach to activating essential services, addressing urgent needs, strengthening state institutions, and alleviating citizens' suffering.
Adel Bader, Deputy Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water, expressed the Ministry's readiness to enhance water and electricity services in Al-Khokha district, aiming for sustainable service delivery to alleviate citizens' suffering amidst ongoing challenges. He highlighted that engineering and technical teams have been undertaking field operations to assess urgent needs and implement interventions to restore services in the district since the liberation of the West Coast areas.
