Deputy PM Al-Madani Inspects Cooperative Societies’ Activities in Siham Valley

Siham Valley: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Administration, Local and Rural Development Mohammed Al-Madani, along with Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources Ibrahim Hassan, inspected the activities and projects implemented by cooperative societies in Siham Valley.

According to Yemen News Agency, during the visit, they, along with a number of undersecretaries of the Ministry of Administration, Local and Rural Development, listened to the directors of the directorates bordering Wadi Siham-Al-Hayma Al-Outer, Jabal Al-Sharq, Dhoran Anas, Bani Matar, and Balad Al-Rus. The heads of the associations in these directorates explained the projects implemented by the associations in areas adjacent to the valley, including solar energy lending projects, contract farming, and community initiatives projects.

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed the importance of unifying efforts and energies to exploit the available opportunities, highlighting the need to establish a development program in which all districts bordering the valley participate. Meanwhile, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture emphasized the need to diversify in the cultivation of crops and livestock breeding, as this affects improving the economic situation of farmers.

Al-Madani and his accompanying team were briefed on the educational situation in Siham Valley and emphasized the need to focus on the educational process and utilize available resources to build a generation armed with science and knowledge. They also inspected several projects implemented by development associations in the area, aiming to support farmers and enhance their standard of living.

At the end of the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of governmental and societal integration to improve the economic situation and achieve a sustainable development revolution that includes all cities and rural areas.
