Sanaa: The Office of Economy, Industry, and Investment in the Capital Secretariat has announced the destruction of 180 tons and 200 kilograms of expired and non-consumable food products. Majed Al-Saddah, Director of the Economy and Industry Office in the Secretariat, stated that the process was conducted following legal procedures from November to December 11, with a representative from the Public Prosecution present.
According to Yemen News Agency, the destroyed items included juices, yogurt, buttermilk, and spoiled legumes, which were seized by inspection teams from the office and its district branches over the past month. Al-Saddah indicated that the inspection teams are committed to ongoing field visits to monitor markets and commercial shops throughout all districts of the Capital Secretariat, aiming to identify pricing and supply violations.
