Destruction of 200 Tons of Expired Foodstuffs in Capital Sanaa

Sanaa: The Capital Secretariat’s Office of Economy, Industry, and Investment has destroyed 200 tons of expired food products during the months of January and February.

According to Yemen News Agency, Majid Al-Sadah, the Director of the Economy Office in the Secretariat, stated that the destruction process was conducted with the oversight of a representative from the Public Prosecution for Industry and Trade. This measure is part of the office’s ongoing effort to enhance market monitoring across all districts within the Secretariat to ensure adherence to pricing and supply regulations.

Al-Sadah called upon citizens to support the Office of Economy and Industry by reporting any commercial violations through the toll-free number 174. He also stressed that the office is committed to taking strict action against any violators or those found manipulating essential goods for citizens.
