Dhamar: The Central Correctional Facility in Dhamar organized a cultural event on Thursday to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein ibn Ali, peace be upon him. The event saw the participation of key figures such as Ali Nasser Qarsha, committee members Ali Al-Hadi, Abdulkhaliq Al-Shami, Ahmed Al-Dailami, and Mohammed Al-Qasimi, along with officials from the Endowments Authority, the Zakat Office, and the Public Prosecution.
According to Yemen News Agency, Director of the Central Correctional Facility, Hussein Al-Sufyani, articulated that Imam Hussein's revolution transcends its historical context as it serves as a perpetual school of resistance against injustice and tyranny. The Yemeni people, he noted, find inspiration in the sacrifices of Karbala, embracing values of freedom and dignity while defending just causes and opposing aggression.
Cultural official Basheer al-Awsh highlighted the commemoration as an opportunity to deepen insight and follow the path of Imam Hussein in confronting falsehood and rejecting domination. He stressed the importance of translating the principles of Imam Hussein's revolution into practical action, emphasizing dedication to work and overcoming challenges.
Al-Awsh further added that Ashura renews a sense of responsibility and commitment, encouraging efforts to address challenges facing the nation and preserve its religious and cultural heritage.
