Dhamar Mobilizes for Grand Celebration of Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday

Sana'a: In a scene of profound significance, Dhamar governorate is preparing for the Prophet Muhammad's birthday anniversary for the year 1448 AH. The event is marked by extensive official and community mobilization across districts and sub-districts.

According to Yemen News Agency, the preparations extend beyond mere decorations and banners, forming a cultural and solidarity-driven epic that reaffirms the community's deep connection to Prophet Muhammad. These preparations are set to culminate in the spring Muhammadan festival on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal.

The governorate's official and community bodies are actively organizing a variety of preparatory activities, involving wide participation that reflects the community's reverence and pride in the Prophet. The month-long program includes speeches, cultural and poetic events, seminars, lectures, and festivals, alongside lighting and decoration of public spaces with green lights and Muhammadan banners.

Additional events such as sports tournaments, cultural competitions, free medical camps, and school broadcasts are also part of the celebrations. Community charitable initiatives and mobilization committee meetings are being conducted at the grassroots level, ensuring comprehensive engagement in the festivities.

As the event approaches, local authorities are intensifying efforts to complete arrangements for the central events, which will be held in the governorate capital and Wasab district. Supervisory and sub-committees have been established to coordinate activities, prepare for central events, and manage guest participation.

Organizing committees are equipping celebration squares with necessary infrastructure, including banners, display screens, and sound systems, while traffic and cleanliness arrangements are also being made to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the event.

The Prophet's birthday holds significant importance for the people of Dhamar and Yemen at large, symbolizing their commitment to the Prophet's teachings and principles. The celebrations highlight the unity and resilience of the Yemeni people, embodying the values of justice, sacrifice, and brotherhood taught by the Prophet Muhammad.
