Sanaa: The Offices of Customs and Customs Control, Lands, Survey and Urban Planning, Economy, Industry and Investment, the Central Statistical Organization Branch, and the Fisheries Sector in Dhamar governorate organized a speech event to mark the 12th anniversary of the September 21 Revolution.
According to Yemen News Agency, Province undersecretary Mohammed Abdulrazzaq emphasized that the September 21 Revolution was intended to fulfill the objectives of the September 26 Revolution and correct its course. He stated that the revolution contributed to achieving independence in national decision-making and eliminating foreign dominance. Abdulrazzaq remarked that commemorating this occasion is crucial for recalling the revolution's goals and continuing the mission to build an independent Yemen, capable of defending its land and resources.
Abdulrazzaq underscored the importance of strengthening cohesion and solidarity among the people and state institutions, lauding the resilience of the Yemeni people and their armed forces in facing challenges and defending national interests and sovereignty.
Fahd Haza'a, Director of the Dhamar Customs and Customs Control Office, highlighted that the September 21 Revolution marked a significant turning point for Yemen, enhancing resilience against threats to the country's security and stability. He noted that prior to the revolution, foreign interference was prevalent, aiming to disrupt national decision-making and state institutions, which the Yemeni people chose to confront.
Haza'a stressed the necessity of safeguarding these achievements by strengthening national cohesion and adhering to laws and regulations. He emphasized the importance of continued efforts in protecting the national economy, supporting state institutions, and maintaining stability.
Sadiq Al-Habr, Director of the Governorate's Economy Office, stated that the anniversary serves as a reminder of the transformations the country has undergone, particularly in enhancing sovereign decision-making. He explained that before the revolution, Yemen experienced foreign dependency in decision-making, which adversely affected the economy and resources. The revolution responded to the Yemeni people's suffering and rejected foreign interventions that hindered building an independent state.
Al-Habr called for sustained efforts to achieve economic development, promote local production and investment, and enhance cooperation between state institutions and the private sector for national interest.
