Dhamar: The Youth and Sports Office in Dhamar Governorate honored Abdullah Al-Hasouli, the athlete who secured a gold medal in the 5000-meter race and a bronze medal in the 3000-meter race at the West Asia Youth Athletics Championship. This event took place in Beirut at the start of October, with Al-Hasouli’s coach, Captain Saeed Al-Adhrai, also being recognized.
According to Yemen News Agency, Taysir Rawa, the Director of the Youth and Sports Office, acknowledged the significant accomplishment by Al-Hasouli, who represented both Dhamar and Al-Fateh Club in the championship, which featured participants from nine countries. Rawa emphasized that this achievement is part of a broader trend of successes by Yemeni athletes on international platforms and highlighted the crucial role played by the experienced national coach, Saeed Al-Adhrai, in honing the athletes’ skills to achieve podium finishes.
Coach Saeed Al-Adhrai expressed gratitude towards the Youth and Sports Office for its support and recognition of champions, stating that such initiatives motivate further efforts to attain more achievements and medals that elevate Yemen’s profile on the global stage.
