Dhamar: The Zakat Office in Dhamar province organized a commemorative event honoring the families of martyrs from its staff, marking the annual Martyrs' Day 1447 AH. During the event, Deputy Governor Mahmoud al-Jabin highlighted the importance of remembering the martyrs' sacrifices and the lessons drawn from their steadfastness in defending truth and confronting oppressors. He emphasized that Yemen's current security, stability, and dignity result from these sacrifices.
According to Yemen News Agency, Director of the Zakat Office Ibrahim al-Mutawakel stressed the importance of instilling the values of jihad and martyrdom, describing it as a noble station in the sight of Allah. He reaffirmed the obligation to honor the martyrs' blood and support their families. Director of Dhamar District Mohammed al-Saiqel also underlined the significance of commemorating the martyrs' contributions and visiting their resting places, while family representatives called for continuing the martyrs' path of sacrifice and defending the oppressed.
The event included recitations of poetry and religious chants, attended by deputies, Zakat branch managers from the districts of Dhamar, and officials from the electricity authority.
