Hodeidah: The Director General of Traffic Police, Major General Dr. Bakeel Al-Barashi, has visited four traffic police officers who sustained injuries during a mission on the Hodeidah-Dhamar road. The officers were injured following a sudden rock collapse while managing a trailer slipping accident at Naqeel Bani Salama.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Al-Barashi, along with Dhamar Governorate Traffic Director Colonel Ahmed Shaaban and Financial Affairs Colonel Majid Salman, assessed the medical care provided to the injured officers. The officers' health conditions were reported as stable, and Dr. Al-Barashi expressed gratitude for their dedication.
The Director General lauded the officers' bravery in securing the road under dangerous conditions, highlighting their commitment to public safety. He emphasized that their actions exemplify the core values of traffic work, which prioritize sacrifice and service to the public. Dr. Al-Barashi underscored that the incident illustrates the role of traffic officers as field soldiers committed to public welfare.
Dr. Al-Barashi announced plans to officially honor the injured officers, recognizing their sacrifices and humanitarian efforts. He conveyed the Ministry of Interior's pride in the officers' unwavering dedication despite the challenging circumstances.
Additionally, Dr. Al-Barashi inspected the damage inflicted on traffic patrols by the rock collapse. He instructed the General Traffic Department's technical teams to compile a detailed report on the losses and damages to vehicles and equipment. Measures to replace damaged equipment were also initiated to ensure ongoing field operations.
