Disability Care Fund Launches Third Batch of Educational Assistance

Sanaa: The Disability Care and Rehabilitation Fund has launched the disbursement of the third batch of educational assistance for the 2024-2025 academic year, allocated to students with disabilities in the Capital Secretariat and various governorates, with a total amount of 124 million riyals.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Fund's Executive Director, Dr. Ali Maghli, affirmed that the disbursement comes within the Government of Change and Construction's commitment to supporting persons with disabilities and enhancing their educational opportunities, contributing to their integration into society and enabling them to participate in development.

He explained that the number of beneficiaries in this batch is 1,327 male and female students, noting that the assistance is provided to help cover transportation costs, support their continued education, and ease the financial burden on their families. He emphasized that the Fund places great importance on persons with disabilities and is keen to support their education as one of the most important means of integrating them into society and transforming them into active contributors to development.

Maghli called on families and the community to increase attention to persons with disabilities and work toward their effective empowerment and integration, ensuring them a dignified life and equal opportunities.

For his part, the Financial Director of the Disability Care and Rehabilitation Fund, Shehab Abdulmoghni, confirmed the Fund's commitment to fulfilling its duties toward persons with disabilities-particularly students-through continued financial support and various services. He added that the Fund continues to provide diverse healthcare services, including surgeries, medical examinations, and the provision of assistive devices of various kinds, in addition to supporting centers and associations working in the field of care and rehabilitation for persons with disabilities.
