Al-Bayda: A meeting was held in Al-Bayda Governorate, chaired by Governor Abdullah Idris, to discuss the level of electricity service and ways to improve the performance of the Electricity Corporation branch.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Director of Electricity of the Governorate, Eng. Mohammed Al-Hatami, reviewed a report on the electricity situation. The report highlighted that the number of subscribers had reached 7,280, with a generation capacity of 2.8 MW and the highest current load at 1.4 MW. The meeting also addressed the challenges and proposed solutions to expand the network.
The meeting further discussed measures taken to address power outages and performance improvement efforts. These efforts include steps related to revenue collection, inspection, and maintenance of power transmission lines to ensure a stable electricity supply.
Governor Idris affirmed the local authority’s support for the institution to enhance its performance. He urged workers to address imbalances and improve service, stressing the importance of qualifying cadres, controlling collection, and maintaining networks to tackle electrical losses in the districts of Al-Bayda.
