Discussion of Cooperation Between Ministries of Communications, Local Administration in Field of Automation

Sana'a: A meeting was held today bringing together the Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Engineer Ali Al-Makni, and the Deputy Minister of Local Administration and Rural Development, Nasser Al-Mahdhar, to discuss areas of cooperation between the two ministries in the field of automation.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Deputy Minister of Communications expressed the Ministry's readiness to provide technical support to all state sectors, in line with the strategic direction of the Ministry of Communications within the framework of the Government of Change and Construction's strategy. This includes leveraging its expertise and staff to enable state sectors, including the Ministry of Local Administration and Development, to achieve digital transformation of their operations in accordance with security and safety standards and administrative development requirements.

He pointed out that the Ministry of Communications has organized workshops for representatives of government entities to manage and operate their respective websites, enabling them to manage their websites easily and conveniently. He noted the Ministry's readiness to provide the necessary technical support to the Ministry of Local Administration and Development to develop its website within the unified government website framework.

For his part, the Deputy Minister of Local Administration and Rural Development praised the role of the Ministry of Communications in supporting all ministries in creating and developing the unified government website, linking ministry websites within it, as well as developing and updating administrative systems, in line with integration goals and contributing to creating a modern work environment.

He affirmed the Ministry of Local Administration and Development's commitment to strengthening partnership with the Ministry of Communications to benefit from its expertise and staff in improving the level of services provided by the Ministry of Local Administration and Development across various governorates.

The two sides affirmed that the Ministry of Local Administration and Development will establish a channel for cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Communications, particularly regarding requests for solutions and the integration of technical projects within the strategic direction of the Ministry of Communications, to ensure unified digital transformation of the state.

The meeting was attended by a number of relevant officials from both ministries.
