Discussion of Mechanisms for Organizing Grape Marketing in Bani Hushaysh

Bani hushaysh: A meeting chaired by the Deputy Minister for the Marketing Sector at the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, Mohsen Atef, discussed today the mechanisms for organizing the marketing of the grape crop in Bani Hushaysh District for the current season.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by the Deputy Secretary of the Capital Secretariat for Agricultural Affairs, Mohammed Saree, the Director of Bani Hushaysh District, Rajih Al-Hanami, and the Head of the Agricultural Sector in Sana'a Governorate, Engineer Ali Al-Qairi. The gathering emphasized the importance of adhering to harvest and post-harvest mechanisms, with a focus on the systematic packing of the grape crop according to approved specifications.

The attendees stressed the importance of organizing the flow of the product to markets in a balanced manner to reduce congestion and maintain price stability. They highlighted the need for packing grape baskets using the spreading method to ensure the product reaches consumers with high quality, thereby enhancing market confidence in Yemeni grapes.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister for the Marketing Sector affirmed that the Ministry pays significant attention to organizing the marketing of agricultural crops, with Yemeni grapes being one of the most important economic crops. He noted that the success of the season depends on the commitment of all parties to the established harvest, packing, and marketing mechanisms.

Furthermore, the Deputy Secretary of the Capital Secretariat for Agricultural Affairs explained that the local authority will support efforts to ensure the grape season's success. Coordination with competent authorities will be maintained to organize the marketing flow within the Secretariat's markets, contributing to smooth product delivery and stability in marketing operations.
