Discussion on Activities, Tasks of Economic Empowerment Committee in Sana’a Governorate

Sana'a: The Economic Empowerment Committee in Sana'a Governorate discussed in its meeting today, chaired by Governor Abdulbasit Al-Hadi, the level of achievement in implementing projects and the practical steps necessary to develop the team's performance during the upcoming phase.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, which included committee members, reviewed the achievements realized during the past period in economic empowerment projects funded by the General Authority for Zakat, as well as the tasks and measures taken by the Economic Empowerment official in the governorate.

The meeting addressed practical steps for organizing and developing the work of the Economic Empowerment team, along with discussing a number of topics included in the agenda of new business and ways to address them.

During the meeting, the Governor affirmed that the empowerment issue is an opportunity for advancing the economic sector in the governorate, placing everyone before the responsibility of ensuring its success and achieving its purpose.

He urged the need to join efforts and coordinate among various relevant authorities to expand economic empowerment projects, contributing to transforming needy families into productive families and achieving sustainable development.

Al-Hadi confirmed the local authority's commitment to rehabilitating beneficiaries, guiding them toward the field of work through the economic empowerment project, until they reach the production stage and emerge from the cycle of poverty and unemployment.
