Discussion on Enhancing Cooperation Between Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Economic Corporation

Muscat: The Acting Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, Ammar Al-Karim, engaged in discussions with the Deputy Director of the Yemeni Economic Corporation, Musa Al-Houthi, focusing on strengthening cooperation and partnership to bolster the agricultural and fisheries sectors and promote economic development.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, which included the participation of the Deputy Minister for Marketing Sector, Mohsen Atef, explored mechanisms for integration between the Ministry and the Corporation. The aim is to leverage available capabilities and expertise to enhance production and marketing chains for local products, thereby safeguarding these products, encouraging farmers and fishermen, and expanding their sales outlets.

During the discussions, the Acting Minister of Agriculture underscored the significance of a strategic partnership between government bodies and economic institutions. Such partnerships are crucial for improving marketing efficiency and devising practical mechanisms to boost the presence of national products in local markets, benefiting both producers and consumers.

He highlighted the Ministry's commitment to overcoming challenges and developing cooperative frameworks with the Economic Corporation. This aligns with broader directives to support local production, achieve food security, and make optimal use of available resources.

Musa Al-Houthi, the Deputy Director of the Economic Corporation, affirmed the Corporation's full readiness to support the Ministry's initiatives. He emphasized the Corporation's commitment to facilitating the marketing of agricultural and fisheries products, enhancing the development sector's efficiency, and contributing to the national economy.

The meeting was also attended by Ali Al-Harb, the Deputy Director of Marketing at the Ministry.
