Dhamar: A meeting chaired by the Governor of Dhamar Governorate, Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, focused on strategies to enhance traffic performance, alleviate congestion, and improve the public image of traffic police personnel. The meeting was convened alongside an event honoring the former Director of Traffic Police, Colonel Ahmed Shaaban, and was attended by Member of Parliament Najeeb Al-Warqi.
According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Al-Bukhaiti highlighted the need for improved traffic regulation and maintaining the qualitative achievements of the governorate's traffic police. He emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in preserving these gains and called for a high level of commitment from all traffic police personnel.
Governor Al-Bukhaiti warned against practices that could tarnish the image of state personnel, reiterating that traffic officers are representatives of the state in the field. He urged traffic personnel to demonstrate discipline and responsibility, cooperate with new leadership, and continue implementing strategies to improve traffic flow and public safety.
Director General of Traffic Police, Major General Dr. Bakil Al-Burashi, stated that Dhamar Governorate has made significant advancements in service, administrative, organizational, and security fields. He noted the exceptional performance of the Dhamar Traffic Branch in various aspects and highlighted the need for joint cooperation among sectors to further enhance traffic operations.
Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Mahdi, the Director of Security in Dhamar Governorate, stressed the importance of intensified efforts to enhance traffic discipline and service to citizens. He advised the new traffic director, Colonel Mohammed Qasila, to build on past achievements and address current challenges to maintain security and stability.
Colonel Qasila committed to continuing the development of traffic performance and strengthening discipline in the governorate's streets. He called on traffic personnel to interact respectfully with citizens, ensure smooth traffic flow, and uphold road safety.
The former Director of Traffic in Dhamar, Colonel Ahmed Shaaban, praised the teamwork and dedication of traffic personnel, attributing achievements in traffic management to their collective efforts.
