Sana'a: A meeting was held on Saturday in Sana'a Governorate, chaired by the Governorate's Deputy for Technical Affairs, Engineer Saleh Al-Muntasir, to discuss ways to develop the work of the Public Works sector and its branches in the districts.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by the Governorate's Public Works Sector Head, Engineer Mohammed Ashiyah, and his deputies Engineers Hassan Dhamran, Amin Al-Jilani, Abdulsalam Al-Gharbani, and Yahya Sharafuddin. The discussions reviewed the level of implementation of previous meeting outcomes and addressed aspects related to regulating and removing violations, increasing revenues, and the working mechanism for the remainder of the current year.
Emphasis was placed on the need for coordinated efforts to implement plans and programs to ensure improved performance and outputs of the office regarding project execution and work management. The attendees stressed the importance of submitting weekly and monthly reports, as well as evaluation result reports, to identify all shortcomings and imbalances.
Additionally, the meeting highlighted the need to develop a comprehensive and time-bound plan to correct work paths, eliminate negative practices, enhance sector services, and improve overall performance. This includes reviewing the emergency plan to mitigate flood damage, setting appropriate measures for rainwater drainage, and identifying a dedicated map of flood paths to work on the required solutions and interventions.
