Sana'a: A meeting was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, Dr. Radwan Al-Ruba'i, with members of the Fertilizers and Pesticides Committee at the ministry.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by Kamal Shamsan, Director General of the Quality Control Department for Production Inputs. It focused on the committee's workflow and performance as the first committee of its kind established by the ministry to reform policies and operational methods in fertilizer and pesticide management.
The meeting approved the formation of a team of experts and academics to review the foundations, standards, and regulations for managing fertilizers and pesticides. These guidelines were initially prepared by the ministry's specialists and are considered crucial for improving work procedures, removing obstructive measures, and protecting land resources, particularly given the challenges Yemen is currently facing.
During the meeting, Minister Al-Ruba'i praised the committee's performance within the framework of institutional work. He noted that this aligns with the current phase's requirements and contributes to vertical production expansion and enhanced food security.
