Al-hodeida: The distribution of 1,160 agricultural tarpaulins to 580 sesame farmers was launched today in Al-Zuhrah District, Al-Hodeida Governorate, as part of the farmer support project implemented by the "Samps" Foundation, affiliated with the Social Fund for Development.
According to Yemen News Agency, the District Director, Abdulrahman Al-Rifai, along with the Director of the Northern Agricultural Region, Engineer Mohammed Al-Sharif, highlighted the significance of this initiative in aiding sesame farmers. They noted that the distribution aims to enhance agricultural production by contributing to crop protection, improving quality, and increasing productivity.
The Head of the Al-Zuhra Cooperative Association, Qadi Hazza, stated that this distribution marks the final phase of the project aimed at supporting sesame farmers in the district. He mentioned that the project's first phase involved the distribution of high-quality sesame seeds and locally produced organic "neem" pesticide to safeguard crops from pests.
