Bani al-harith: The Al-Hatarsh Office of Mobilization in Bani Al-Harith District of the Capital Secretariat launched on Thursday the distribution of 1,500 food baskets to the poor and needy families in the neighborhood, in an initiative supported by charitable donors.
According to Yemen News Agency, the distribution of the food baskets, now in its seventh year, comes in response to the call of the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, to strengthen social solidarity and care for the poor and needy, coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan.
During the launch, Shura Council member Adel Al-Hanbasi called on charitable donors and community members, especially the well-off, to contribute and support charitable and humanitarian initiatives, to check on the well-being of their neighbors and relatives, particularly during the month of benevolence, generosity, and giving, when God multiplies the reward for those who spend in charity. He also praised the efforts of those managing the food basket project and the charitable donors.
Meanwhile, First Deputy of the Secretariat Khaled Al-Madani and District Mobilization Official Muhammad Al-Gharbani commended the humanitarian and charitable efforts that help alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people caused by the aggression and promote social solidarity. They expressed pride in the successful social experience of the workers and charitable donors in Al-Hatarsh neighborhood for continuing the distribution of food baskets and Eid gifts to the poor and needy for the seventh consecutive year.
In turn, Al-Hatarsh Mobilization Official Ahmed Al-Makhthi confirmed the continuation of the food basket distribution project, along with half a kilogram of meat for each family during the days of Ramadan, as part of benevolence and social solidarity initiatives.
