Sanaa: The Head of the Social Affairs Committee of the Capital Sanaa Local Council, Hammoud Al-Naqeeb, inaugurated today the 21st charitable exhibition for distributing clothing to the poor and needy in Ma'in District.
According to Yemen News Agency, the exhibition was implemented by the Diamond Foundation for Development in cooperation with philanthropists. It aims to support 400 impoverished families by distributing 2,000 clothing items to individuals of all ages as part of the ongoing Muhammadan Spring activities.
During the opening, which was attended by the Director of Associations in the Secretariat, Nabil Rajeh, Al-Naqeeb expressed his appreciation for the foundation and philanthropists' efforts in providing clothing to underprivileged families. He emphasized the importance of such charitable, social, and developmental activities.
Al-Naqeeb also highlighted the necessity of increasing charitable and humanitarian initiatives to foster values of charity, compassion, and social solidarity, particularly given the challenging conditions the country faces due to ongoing aggression and siege.
