Dr. Bin Habtoor Addresses Martyr Anniversary Event Held by Transport & Works Ministry.

Sanaa: Member of the Supreme Political Council, Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, participated in a speech event organized by the Transport and Public Works Ministry, its agencies, and institutions on Monday in observance of the annual martyr anniversary 1446 AH. This event also featured an exhibition showcasing photos of the ministry’s martyrs. During the event, Dr. Bin Habtoor highlighted the significance of commemorating this anniversary as a tribute to the sacrifices of the valiant martyrs, including those from the government sector, emphasizing that the martyrs of the homeland will remain eternal in the nation’s records and memory.

According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Bin Habtoor elaborated on the necessity of reflecting upon the heroic legacy of these martyrs to derive lessons and understandings of sacrifice, redemption, and martyrdom. He noted that over the past nine years, Yemen has witnessed the martyrdom of tens of thousands, making the anniversary a source of national pride. He remarked, “This is on
e of the occasions where we reaffirm our commitment to integrate the annual martyr anniversary into our activities, work, and programs throughout the year and to do what we can to support the children and families of the martyrs.”

Dr. Bin Habtoor also expressed the Political Council’s gratitude for the efforts of institutions and agencies dedicated to supporting the families of martyrs and addressing the concerns of the wounded who have sacrificed for Yemen’s glory and elevation. He drew parallels between the commemoration in Yemen and the ongoing martyrdom of individuals in the Gaza Strip, South Lebanon, and Beirut’s southern suburbs, who fall victim to the Zionist enemy’s actions with support from American and European Zionism. He underscored the current struggle against the Zionist enemy as a liberation phase for the Palestinian and Lebanese people.

Transport and Public Works Minister Mohammed Ayyash Qahim reiterated the importance of honoring the martyr anniversary due to the significant status of the m
artyrs who defended religion and the homeland, demonstrating unparalleled heroism in the face of aggression. He credited the culture of jihad revived by martyr leader Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi for instilling pride, honor, and victory among Yemenis.

Minister Qahim acknowledged the glory and freedom forged by the martyrs for Yemen, thwarting aggression plans. He vowed to honor the martyrs and continue their legacy in combating aggression forces, standing for justice, and opposing falsehood. He also recognized the sacrifices made by the Palestinian and Lebanese people and the impactful operations by Yemeni armed forces targeting Israeli positions in Jaffa and Ashkelon.

The event was attended by Health and Environment Minister Dr. Ali Shiban, Deputy Minister of Transport and Works Yahya Al-Sayani, President of the Public Authority for Martyrs’ Families Welfare Taha Jaran, and Fadl Al-Sammad, son of martyred President Saleh Al-Sammad. Al-Mutawakkil Al-Junaid, representing the families of the martyrs, stated that the martyrs’ blood has led to victory and glory for Yemen. He stressed that their sacrifices were made to defend and fortify the homeland. The event concluded with the Supreme Political Council member, Ministers of Transport and Works, Health and Environment, and Deputy Minister of Transport and Works honoring the ministry’s martyrs’ families with shields, gifts, and symbolic tokens.
