Sana'a: Member of the Supreme Political Council Dr. Abdulaziz Bin Habtoor on Saturday participated in a commemorative event organized by the Security and Police Sector of the Ministry of Interior on the occasion of the annual Martyrs' Day 1447 AH.

According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Bin Habtoor expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Interior for organizing the event and other activities dedicated to honoring the martyrs, noting that this commemoration is one of the most significant national occasions in Yemen. He highlighted the Ministry's dual role in internal and external jihad by maintaining domestic security while also participating in various frontlines to defend the homeland. He praised the Ministry's responsibility in protecting institutions, ensuring public services, and consolidating security, particularly during the aggression and blockade.

Dr. Bin Habtoor emphasized that the security institutions enjoy close attention from the leadership, the Supreme Political Council, and the government due to their vital role in protecting national security and citizens. He addressed attendees, saying, 'We feel immense pride in the sacrifices made by the Ministry's personnel and the military in confronting the aggression and blockade imposed by the U.S., Saudi, UAE, and Israeli aggression.'

He affirmed that honoring the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the homeland, requires all Yemenis to remember them proudly as they paved the way for the current state of victory experienced in Sana'a and other liberated provinces. Dr. Bin Habtoor conveyed greetings on behalf of the President of the Supreme Political Council, Marshal Mahdi al-Mashat, praising the Ministry of Interior for its courage, dedication, and sacrifices.
