Sanaa: Dr. Abdulaziz Bin Habtour, a member of the Supreme Political Council, along with Dr. Hamoud Abbad, Secretary of the Capital, conducted inspections of several service projects in the Capital Secretariat. These projects, executed at a total cost of 790 million and 664 thousand Yemeni riyals, are funded by the local authority.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Bin Habtour and Dr. Abbad assessed the progress of rehabilitation, restoration, and maintenance works in the Al-Omana neighborhood, located in Al-Wahda District. This initiative, costing 278 million and 664 thousand riyals, is financed through local funds and community contributions. The project, managed by the Executive Unit for Roads and Public Spaces, includes the construction of a concrete bridge, stone paving, asphalt repairs, and the maintenance of several streets in Al-Omana neighborhood as part of Phase One.
The officials also evaluated two rehabilitation and maintenance projects for Saqatra and Khawlan streets in Al-Sab'een District, with a combined budget of 520 million riyals. They received updates from Engineer Abdulkarim Al-Houthi, Deputy for Public Works and Projects, and Engineer Ali Mahraqa, Deputy Director of the Executive Unit, on the progress of these projects. The initiatives involve the construction of concrete surface bridges, laying asphalt layers, and repairing deteriorated sections of streets in Al-Omana, Saqatra, and Khawlan.
Additionally, they examined the progress of the Palestine Street rehabilitation and maintenance project in Bani Al-Harith District, Phase Two, which is being implemented at a cost of 100 million riyals by the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges.
In a press statement, Dr. Bin Habtour highlighted the visit as a chance to observe the progress of work in the Capital Secretariat and the conditions of the workers. He emphasized the restoration of local development activities, which had been previously halted due to the restrictions imposed by the Coalition of Aggression countries. Dr. Bin Habtour commended the Secretariat's leadership and staff for their ongoing efforts in implementing these projects.
He also pointed out the significance of the ongoing sewage network project from Khawlan Street through the capital to Al-Rawda, underscoring its importance for enhancing sewage services in the Capital Secretariat.
Secretary of the Capital Abbad described the projects as crucial for local development within the plans and programs of the Capital Secretariat for 1447 AH. These encompass various service and development initiatives in roads, beautification, water, and sewage. He reiterated the commitment to intensifying efforts to meet development goals and improve services for citizens in line with the directives of the Revolution Leader, Sayyid Abdulmalik Badreddin Al-Houthi, and the President of the Supreme Political Council.
