Dr. Bin Habtour Visits Sana’a Education Exhibition, Drug Awareness Display

Sana'a: Supreme Political Council member Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtour today visited the 2nd Sana'a Education Exhibition 2025 and the awareness exhibition on drug dangers to individuals and society.

According to Yemen News Agency, during his tour of the education exhibition - accompanied by Health Minister Dr. Ali Shaiban, Deputy Education Minister Dr. Hatem Al-Duais, and 21 September University President Dr. Mujahid Maasar - Dr. Bin Habtour reviewed exhibits organized by the Higher Education sector in collaboration with Nahdat Fikr for Exhibitions and Conferences. The five-day event showcases academic programs at 26 Yemeni institutions, including 14 private universities, 12 community colleges, and various medical and English institutes, aimed at guiding students in their specialization choices.

Bin Habtour highlighted the exhibition's role as an academic advisory platform, noting its success in connecting institutions with prospective students through tailored programs and enrollment incentives.

Later, the delegation visited the Interior Ministry's drug awareness exhibition titled "Drugs: An Enemy Weapon to Destroy Individuals and Society." Officials presented educational materials on the health and social impacts of narcotics, as well as security efforts to combat this internal threat, which complements the military's external defense role.

Dr. Bin Habtour emphasized the use of drugs as a societal destabilization tool by enemies, Yemen's religious and moral deterrents against addiction, the Interior Ministry's critical counter-narcotics efforts, and the need for institutional-community cooperation to reinforce awareness.
