Sana'a: The draw for the Premier League for the 2025-2026 season, scheduled to begin on April 9th, was held on Saturday at the headquarters of the General Football Federation in the capital Sana'a.
According to Yemen News Agency, the draw resulted in some exciting matchups for the first round. Defending champions al-Ahli Sana'a will begin their campaign against their traditional rivals, al-Wahda. Sha'ab Hadramawt will play against Ittihad Hadramawt, and al-Yarmouk will face al-Urooba.
Tadhamon Hadramawt will have a tough match against Fahman Abyan, Shabab Bayda will play against Hilal Hodeida, Salam al-Ghurfa will face Sud Marib, and al-Yarmouk will meet al-Mukalla.
Following the draw ceremony, in the presence of the second vice chairman of the federation, Dr. Adel Omar, federation member Ahmed al-Sharafi, and the head of the competitions committee, Dr. Abu Ali Ghaleb, a technical meeting discussed the articles of the regulations, proposals, and recommendations to approve them in their final form.
