Economy Ministry Condemns Attacks on Factories in Sana’a

Sana'a:The Ministry of Economy, Industry and Investment has renewed its condemnation of the Saudi attacks on economic facilities and civilian infrastructure, specifically targeting two factories in Sana'a that produce foam and construction materials. These attacks have resulted in significant human and material losses.

According to Yemen News Agency, the ministry stated that the targeted attacks on factories, private-sector assets, and citizens' property showcase Saudi Arabia's approach to exacerbating humanitarian suffering by disrupting livelihoods and sustaining the 12-year blockade on Yemen.

The ministry highlighted that international silence on these violations emboldens further attacks and breaches of international laws and humanitarian conventions, leading to more alleged war crimes against the Yemeni population.

It called upon the United Nations, international human rights organizations, economic associations, chambers of commerce globally, and people of conscience to denounce these repeated assaults, document the violations against Yemen's economy, and hold those responsible accountable.

The ministry emphasized that these documented crimes are not subject to a statute of limitations, asserting that Saudi Arabia remains liable for criminal and civil proceedings and full compensation. It reaffirmed the Yemeni people's dedication to defending their legitimate rights by any means available.
