Education Ministry Condemns Targeting of Schools by Saudi Forces

Sana'a: The Ministry of Education and Scientific Research has condemned the continued and deliberate targeting of educational facilities by the Saudi aggressor and its mercenaries: The latest such atrocity involved attacks on Salah al-Din School in Al-Rahba and Khalid bin al-Walid School in Al-Afira, both in Jabal Habashi district, as well as Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari School in Al-Ahkoum, Hayfan district of Taiz governorate.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Ministry denounced this cowardly, criminal act. It described the attack as part of a series of systematic assaults in which aggression aircraft have targeted civilians and the pillars of the educational process, namely students, teachers, and educational facilities.

The statement noted that this crime, which violates international and humanitarian norms, charters, and laws, reflects the moral bankruptcy and collapse of the aggression forces. It highlighted that the arrogance of the aggression and its hostility toward the educational process stem from a desire to obstruct and halt it, in response to the steadfastness and resilience shown by educators and students in continuing their attendance at schools.

The statement further condemned the silence of the international community and the United Nations regarding these crimes, which bring shame upon humanity. It emphasized that the vacillating stance of the international community and the United Nations regarding airstrikes on children, schools, and civilians, and their lack of seriousness in taking a clear position against war criminals and perpetrators of atrocities in Yemen, emboldens the Saudi aggressor and its mercenaries to commit further war crimes and kill children, women, and civilians.
