Efforts to Enhance Electricity Service in Ibb’s Districts Underway

Sana'a: The Deputy Governor of Ibb province, Qasim Al Masawi, engaged in discussions with Dr. Mushghil Al Rifi, Director of the General Electricity Corporation, to address the improvement and expansion of electricity services in the districts of Hubaysh, Hazm Al Udayn, and Rif Ibb. The meeting focused on the challenges hindering electricity projects' implementation and explored solutions to enhance the electricity system and repair transmission lines in these areas.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting concluded with several measures aimed at reducing power outages. These include completing ongoing connection and maintenance work on the electricity network in Rif Ibb, maintaining and operating electricity generators in Hazm Al Udayn, and systematically restoring electricity to homes. Dr. Al Rifi emphasized the Ministry of Electricity, Energy, and Water's commitment to addressing the needs of underserved areas, in line with directives from the Leader of the Revolution and the President of the Supreme Political Council.

Dr. Al Rifi highlighted that providing electricity services is a priority requiring joint efforts to ensure stability and improve efficiency across districts. He commended the local authority in Ibb province for its support in removing obstacles to electricity projects and confirmed the ministry's continued collaboration with relevant authorities to implement more projects in deprived areas.

Deputy Governor Al Masawi expressed appreciation for the ministry's support of electricity projects across the province and underscored the need for official and community cooperation to address challenges in stalled and ongoing projects. He assured the provincial leadership's dedication to facilitating electricity projects and meeting citizens' basic service needs, acknowledging the efforts of the Electricity Corporation branch in Ibb in restoring services to the targeted districts.
