Dhamar: The General Electricity Corporation's branch in Dhamar Governorate held a speech event on Wednesday commemorating the martyrdom anniversaries of Imam Hussein and Imam Zaid, peace be upon them.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event, attended by the branch director, Engineer Ali Al-Awlaki, featured remarks by Deputy Branch Director Farouq Aziz. Aziz highlighted the importance of commemorating the occasion to draw lessons and inspiration from the life of Imam Hussein and the principles for which he sacrificed himself in confronting injustice and supporting truth.
He stressed that Imam Hussein's revolution was not merely a passing historical event, but rather a comprehensive school of freedom, dignity, and sacrifice from which generations learn how to stand firm in the face of challenges.
Aziz explained that the remembrance of the martyrdoms of the guided Imams renews the spirit of faith and sense of responsibility toward the causes of the nation, encouraging adherence to moral and humanitarian values and efforts to improve services provided to citizens.
Cultural activist Bashir Al-Awash noted that the revolutions of Imams Hussein and Zaid, peace be upon them, emerged in response to a reality in which people had moved away from the values of justice and truth.
He pointed out that history provides many examples showing that a nation's retreat from its responsibilities leads to the spread of injustice and deviation.
Al-Awash affirmed that the nation, during this sensitive stage, needs to draw inspiration from the positions of the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt as models of awareness, insight, and resistance to injustice. He called for these occasions to serve as a starting point for strengthening awareness and upholding the principles and values carried by the guided Imams.
