Electricity & Water Deputy Minister Evaluates Work Discipline Post-Eid in Water and Rural Electricity Sectors

Sana'a: Adel Bader, the Deputy Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water, recently conducted an inspection to assess work discipline within the Water Sector and the Rural Electricity Authority following the Eid al-Adha holiday. During his visit, the Deputy Minister engaged with sector officials to understand the adherence to work schedules and the commitment of general managers and employees to their duties.

According to Yemen News Agency, officials from the Water Sector provided insights into the level of work discipline, assuring Bader of the presence of employees in their offices and workplaces, diligently attending to their responsibilities. The Deputy Minister commended the employees' dedication to maintaining regular working hours post-holiday, which is essential for processing citizens' transactions and ensuring continuous delivery of water and sanitation services.

Bader also turned his attention to the Rural Electricity Authority, where he was briefed by the Authority's Director, Engineer Nabil Muharram, on the employees' commitment to official working hours after the holiday break. The inspection was part of a meeting that included key figures like the Ministry's Technical Affairs Director, Engineer Abduljabbar Al-Shami, Projects and Planning Director, Engineer Ahmed Al-Mutawakel, and Financial and Administrative Affairs Director, Taqiuddin Al-Muta'.

The Deputy Minister highlighted that the Rural Electricity Authority currently meets 75% of the rural community's needs, a task that demands increased efforts and collaboration. He pointed out that new responsibilities have arisen due to the integration of the Rural Projects and Electricity Authorities. Bader emphasized the importance of fulfilling these roles and strategically utilizing funds to benefit rural citizens, marking it as a high priority.

He further acknowledged the expertise of the Rural Electricity Authority's personnel across various domains, underscoring the goal of enhancing performance and professional efficiency to foster rural development. Engineer Muharram also elaborated on the Authority's responsibilities, the staff's efforts to boost performance, and the challenges affecting workflow.
