Endowments and Guidance Authority Celebrates Orphans at Al-Rufaqa

Sana'a: The General Authority for Endowments and Guidance on Tuesday honored 85 residents of Al-Rufaqa Orphanage for Orphans on the occasion of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).

According to Yemen News Agency, the ceremony featured remarks from Deputy Chairman of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance, Dr. Fouad Naji, who stated that the honoring was part of the fifth phase of the Authority's 'Cooperate in Righteousness and Piety' project. Dr. Naji emphasized the significance of the Prophet's birthday as a moment to reflect on the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), highlighting values of compassion, love, and benevolence.

Dr. Naji encouraged widespread participation in the central celebration of the Prophet's birthday on 12 Rabi' al-Awwal and urged expressions of joy and happiness on this occasion. The event also saw the presence of the Authority's Undersecretary for Mosques and Endowments, Ahmed Mujali.

The event included speeches from Orphanage Deputy Director Dr. Mohammed Al-Dhabiyani and orphanage resident Ali Jamal, who praised the General Authority for Endowments' efforts and support, particularly in addressing the needs of orphans. They appealed to philanthropists and those with resources to contribute to the Al-Rufaqa Orphanage, helping it continue its vital services for this essential community group.

The celebration concluded with the honoring of the orphanage residents, accompanied by recitations, poetry, religious chants, and a luncheon for the orphans.
