Sana'a: The Holy Quran competition "Path of the Quran - Third Season" for the year 1447 AH, implemented by the office of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance in the governorate, concluded in Ibb Governorate. The competition witnessed the participation of 28 male and female memorizers in its final stage, after an initial sorting and filtering process in which 84 male and female memorizers from various districts of the governorate had participated.
According to Yemen News Agency, the results saw Amjad Al-Wasabi winning first place with a cash prize of 400,000 riyals, while Ashraf Al-Rubaie obtained second place with a prize of 300,000 riyals, and Omar Nasr Al-Zanan came in third place with a prize of 200,000 riyals. Meanwhile, Jamal Al-Shabibi obtained fourth place with a prize of 100,000 riyals in addition to in-kind prizes, with all contestants receiving encouragement prizes.
At the conclusion, attended by members of the judging committee consisting of Sheikh Dr. Mujib Marzah, Sheikh Habib Al-Habeeb Al-Hubaishi, and Sheikh Maimoun Fairoz, the Deputy Director of Endowments in Ibb, Anwar Qadi, affirmed the office's keenness to support and sponsor memorizers of the Holy Quran and encourage youth to turn to the Book of God for memorization, recitation, and contemplation.
He pointed out that these competitions come within the Authority's plan and vision to build a conscious Quranic generation that contributes to the renaissance of society and the consolidation of faith values, noting that the third edition of the competition achieved success in terms of the level of participation and turnout. Qadi affirmed the Authority's continued support and implementation of such qualitative Quranic programs, which contribute to enhancing faith identity.
