Al-mahwit: Engineer Mukhtar al-Turki, representative of the Central Emergency Interventions Unit in al-Mahwit Governorate, inspected today the progress of several community initiatives in al-Khabt District. Al-Turki, accompanied by District Director Ali Qatina and Chairman of the Agricultural Cooperative Association in the district, Mohammed Abbas, listened to briefings from those overseeing the initiatives implemented under the Central Emergency Interventions Program and community initiatives, in coordination with the Agricultural Cooperative Association, aimed at improving basic services and strengthening community empowerment.

According to Yemen News Agency, al-Turki praised the strong community engagement and active participation of local residents in carrying out the initiatives, noting that such interaction represents a positive model of complementarity between official and community efforts. He stressed the commitment of the Central Emergency Interventions Unit to supporting and developing community initiatives that contribute to improving livelihoods, strengthening local resilience, and achieving sustainable development in the targeted areas.

Al-Turki also pointed out that the unit seeks to foster a participatory approach with community members, based on its belief in their vital role in identifying needs, proposing appropriate solutions, and implementing them on the ground. For his part, the Director of al-Khabt District commended the efforts of the Interventions Unit and community initiatives, emphasizing the importance of reinforcing the spirit of initiative, joint work, and doubling efforts to achieve developmental goals efficiently and effectively.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Agricultural Cooperative Association in the district highlighted the importance of community efforts, their integration, and the role of the Central Emergency Interventions Unit in implementing community initiatives aimed at improving basic services in the district.
