Harad:The Entisaf Organization for Women's and Children's Rights has condemned an attack carried out by Saudi forces on the family of Ali Adli in the village of Umm Al-Dhahi, located in Harad District of Hajjah Governorate. The assault resulted in the deaths of the father, mother, and four children, while a six-year-old girl sustained injuries.
According to Yemen News Agency, the organization stated that this incident is part of an ongoing series of genocide crimes committed by Saudi forces against the Yemeni people over the past 12 years, resulting in over 61,000 civilian deaths, including women and children.
The statement emphasized the importance of protecting civilians and children from being targeted and stressed the need to adhere to principles of distinction and proportionality as outlined in international humanitarian law, including the Geneva Conventions.
The organization highlighted that this attack occurred amid ongoing shelling and targeting of populated areas and civilian properties in Hajjah, Saada, and Taiz governorates. This situation raises serious concerns about the safety of civilians, particularly women and children, and the urgent need for protective measures.
The statement further warned that the lack of investigations and accountability for such incidents perpetuates impunity and reduces the suffering of civilian families to mere statistics in records of violations. It underscores the critical need for documentation, accountability, reparation, and justice for the victims and their families, emphasizing that the loss of an entire family represents a grave violation of human and children's rights.
