Entisaf Organization Condemns Mutilation of Martyr’s Body in Taiz

Taiz:The Entisaf Organization for Women's and Children's Rights has condemned the crime committed by mercenaries of the Saudi aggression in Taiz Governorate, involving the mutilation of the body of a martyr from the armed forces. This act is deemed a flagrant violation of human dignity and the sanctity of the dead, contravening religious and human values as well as authentic Yemeni customs.

According to Yemen News Agency, the organization stated that such acts represent a significant breach of international humanitarian law, which mandates respect for the dead, preservation of their dignity, and protection from disfigurement and humiliation. The law obligates all parties to treat the deceased with humanity, without discrimination or revenge.

The organization denounced the recurrence of these crimes and violations in Taiz Governorate as reflecting a grave disregard for international covenants, laws, and human values. It emphasized that human dignity and the sanctity of the body are not diminished by death and that these crimes should not be seen as isolated incidents without accountability.

Responsibility for this crime was attributed to the Saudi aggression and its mercenaries, with calls for those involved to face justice. The organization demanded that the crime be documented, evidence preserved, and referred to judicial authorities and international mechanisms.

It urged the United Nations, the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and international human rights organizations to condemn this crime and take urgent action to monitor and document violations against the dead and prisoners in Yemen. The statement stressed the importance of upholding international humanitarian law and holding violators accountable.

The organization warned that silence over such crimes encourages their recurrence and undermines justice and fairness principles. It reiterated its commitment to defending human dignity and the rights of victims and their families, demanding accountability for all those involved in the crime or who contributed to it.
