Sanaa:The Entisaf Organization for Women and Child Rights has condemned the extensive damage inflicted on Yemen's education sector over the past 12 years due to ongoing aggression.
According to Yemen News Agency, the organization, in a statement for World Teachers' Day, emphasized the severe violations impacting schools, students, and teachers, which have compromised the right to education for millions of children. A recent attack on female students in Bayt Al-Lahidah, located in the Sa'wan area of Bani Hushaysh District, Sanaa Governorate, resulted in one student being killed and two others injured.
The statement further noted that World Teachers' Day is being observed under challenging circumstances for Yemeni teachers. Despite the destruction of thousands of educational facilities and worsening economic and living conditions, teachers have continued to support the educational process.
